Abstract:
To provide a dynamic fluid bearing capable of enduring high moment load though it is thin.
A set of radial dynamic pressure generating grooves are formed to constitute a radial bearing to reduce the total width L of the radial dynamic pressure generating groove. A thrust dynamic pressure generating groove constituting a thrust bearing is formed in such manner that an area (diameter) generating a maximum thrust dynamic pressure becomes large, thus bearing angular rigidity of the thrust bearing is increased. The thrust bearing of high bearing angular rigidity bears part of moment load added to the shaft to compensate the bearing angular rigidity of the radial bearing having small bearing rigidity because of small total width.
