This dynamic pressure gas bearing adopts the following constitution: the upper foil 4 includes an upper foil plate 41 in which a convex portion passage hole allowing the passage of a convex portion 5a is provided on a portion positioned above the convex portion 5a of the under foil 5, and a plurality of upper foil segments 42 that have each of one-side ends 42a supported by the upper foil plate 41 and that are supported by the convex portions 5a of the under foil 5; and the other end 42b of the upper foil segment 42 overlaps the adjacent upper foil segment 42.
