Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply an equivalent linear analysis method to a phenomenon quickly varying a physical property.
SOLUTION: When an analytical procedure starts, a preliminary analysis of a ground is conducted. When the preliminary analysis is finished, liquefaction judgment and estimation of the liquefaction generated time are conducted, input earthquake motion is divided into two of before and after the liquefaction generated time t, and grouped into a first group before liquefaction and a second group after liquefaction. The first group is subjected to conduct an equivalent linear analysis with dynamic deformation characteristics before liquefaction similar to the preliminary analysis. In the equivalent linear analysis conducted here, the input earthquake motion is limited from zero second to the liquefaction generated time t different from the preliminary analysis. The second group is subjected to conduct an equivalent linear analysis in which the input earthquake motion is limited from the liquefaction generated time t to the last with the dynamic deformation characteristics after liquefaction. When a solution of the equivalent linear analysis of the first group and the second group is obtained, analytical results (response waveforms) are superposed to finish the procedure.
