Abstract:
To provide a dynamic seal which is not damaged even if a radially inward member is rotated fast, the dynamic seal being used while being attached to the rotating radially inward member.SOLUTION: A dynamic seal 1 has a film-like part 5 which is an elastic body, and a peripheral weight part 6 at a radially outer side RO of a core metal 2. In a free state, the film-like part 5 is tilted in a direction toward a side face 9A of a radially outward member. In a truncated cone defining, in the free state, a first circle C1 consisting of a midpoint A of a proximal end portion 5A of the film-like part 5 in a thickness direction as a circle of a top face and defining a second circle C2 consisting of a midpoint B of a distal end portion 5B of the film-like part 5 in the thickness direction as a circle of a bottom face, a center G of gravity of the peripheral weight part 6 in a cross-sectional shape obtained by cutting with a plane including an axial direction and a radial direction R is positioned in a face F obtained by extending a side face E of the truncated cone TC. The dynamic seal 1 is a contact seal in a case where a rotation speed of a radially inward member is equal to or lower than a predetermined value, and is a non-contact seal in a case where the rotation speed of the radially inward member is higher than the predetermined value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
