Title:
DYNAMICALLY EFFORTLESS PULL STARTING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2006307836
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a recoil starter for an internal combustion engine in which a pull effort is reduced which is necessary for starting the engine, and the following problems are solved: when engine torque is suddenly changed due to compression of air-fuel mixture by a piston and a cylinder in the engine, the pulling force for starting the engine becomes generally uneven to cause vibration, and recoil force is caused as the case may be to make it hard to start the engine.

The energy-storing recoil starter includes a buffering component to reduce a pull effort when starting an engine. The energy-storing recoil starter includes a starter housing coupled to an engine shaft of the engine, and a starter pulley. A clutch assembly is coupled between the starter housing and the starter pulley to effect rotation of an engine shaft. The buffering component is coupled between the starter housing and the engine.
