Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EGR system of internal combustion engine that suppresses the generation of condensed water in an EGR cooler.SOLUTION: The system includes: a second EGR passage 41 communicating an intake passage and an exhaust passage 14 of the internal combustion engine; the EGR cooler 43 provided on the second EGR passage 41 and for cooling exhaust; and an EGR filter 23 provided on the upstream in an exhaust flow direction farther than the EGR cooler 43 on the second EGR passage and for removing a foreign matter in the exhaust. The EGR filter 23 includes: a first filter part 26 having large heat capacity; a second filter part 27 having small heat capacity; and a control valve 28 adjusting an amount of the exhaust passing through the filter parts 26 and 27. When a temperature of the EGR cooler 43 is low, the system executes operation control of the control valve 28 so that the amount of the exhaust passing through the first filter part 26 is increased, compared with when the temperature of the cooler is high.
