Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EL element, capable of patterning thereof without deteriorating the light-emitting characteristics, and to provide a method of manufacturing the EL element. SOLUTION: This EL element is formed of a substrate, a first electrode formed on the substrate, an EL layer formed on the first electrode, and a second electrode formed on the EL layer. At least one layer of the photocatalyst- contained layer is formed at any position between the substrate and the second electrode 2, and the photocatalyst-contained layer includes the light-emitting characteristic improving material.
