Title:
EARLY STABILIZATION TYPE LANDFILL DISPOSAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1176966
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To shorten the period from the beginning to the closure of landfill by using a method that comprises: placing a water collection/discharge means in each of sections of a landfill area; performing the landfill work in any one of the sections; after completion of the land fill work in the section, starting the landfill work in another section; thus, successively performing the landfill work in all the sections; and selectively introducing leachate discharged from each of the sections into leachate treatment facilities to treat the leachate.

In this method, at the time of performing the land fill disposal of waste 6, after the landfill work in any one of sections 1a, 1b, 1c and 1d of a landfill area is completed, the landfill work in any one of the other sections 1a, 1b, 1c and/or 1d is started, and thus, the landfill work in the sections 1a, 1b, 1c and 1d are successively performed. By appropriately performing the opening/closing operation of each of stop valves 4 placed in the sections 1a, 1b, 1c and 1d, respectively, leachate discharged from each of the sections 1a, 1b, 1c and 1d is selectively introduced into leachate treatment facilities 5 to perform leachate treatment corresponding to properties of the introduced leachate. By performing the treatment of leachate from each of the independent sections 1a, 1b, 1c and 1d separately from the treatment of leachate from the other sections 1a, 1b, 1c and/or 1d, since the closure of landfill in each of the sections 1a, 1b, 1c and 1d is performed when the water quality of leachate from the section is stabilized, the closure of landfill work in the sections 1a, 1b, 1c and 1d can successively be performed from that in one of the sections 1a, 1b, 1c and 1d, where the water quality of leachate is earliest stabilized. Thus, the period from the start to the closure of land fill in each of the sections 1a, 1b, 1c and 1d can be shorten.
