To provide an earphone with voice muting of a simple configuration by which a user hears a voice signal when mounting the earphone to the ear and sounded voice is muted when the earphone is removed from the ear so as to enhance the convenience.

A speaker 4a is mounted in a housing 1 whose front side is open and whose rear side is closed by a side wall 1b while a cone 4a is directed to an opening 1a, and an extension/contraction member 8 that is deformed by a body temperature is placed at a space between the speaker 4 and the side wall 1b. A conductor is integrated to the extension/contraction member 8 to obtain a moving electrode 10 and a couple of fixed electrodes 11, 12 that are in contact when the extension/contraction member 8 is deformed is placed opposite to the moving electrode 10, a negative pole lead wire 13b in two lead wires 13a, 13b respectively connected to positive and negative pole output terminals of a voice signal output circuit outputting a voice signal is connected to a negative pole input terminal 5 of the speaker 4, an end of the positive lead wire 13a of the voice signal output circuit is connected to the fixed electrode 11 and the fixed electrode 12 is connected to the positive pole input terminal 6 of the speaker 4.
