Title:
EARTH AUGER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2943845
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To maintain an efficient excavation work by providing an auger drill within a freely rotatable drum easing formed to be dividable along a lengthwise direction and fitted with a cutting tooth at the forward end, and excavating an area inside after the periphery thereof.
CONSTITUTION: When the ground paved with asphalt or concrete is excavated, a drum casing 50 is first rotated to cut a paved area with a cutting tooth 53. Then, an auger drill 20 is rotated to excavate an area inside the casing 50 with crushing teeth 33 to 35. Also, when a soft soil or a sump water area is excavated, the drum easing 50 is operated to first excavate the surrounding area thereof and, then, an area inside is excavated with the auger drill 20. At the same time, the drum easing 50 is used for earth retaining. In this case, the drum casing 50 is added for use, and both of the easing 50 and the auger drill 20 are rotated on the operation of the same drive device 11. After the excavation work, an excavation device 10 is pulled out on the operation of a winch on board a work vehicle. As a result, an excavation work can be efficiently undertaken.
