In an earth leakage breaker having as an essential constituent a cabinet 10 composed of an insulating base 11 and an insulating cover 12 formed of a synthetic resin material, the primary conductors 21R, 21S, 21T which are built in the cabinet, and opened and closed by a contact and in which the main circuit current flows, the zero-phase current transformer 22 which the primary conductors penetrate and detects a leakage current of the load side main circuit cable path to form an output signal, the earth leakage detecting circuit to input the output signal from the zero-phase current transformer and detect the earth leakage of the load side main circuit cable path, and an open/close mechanism 300 to open and close the main circuit contact responding to an output of the earth leakage detecting circuit, and power supply terminals 24R, 24S, 24T to contact with the primary conductors and to take in the operation power supply of the earth leakage detecting circuit are mounted on an insulating member of the essential constituents.
