To solve a problem that a length dimension in electric path direction from a power supply side terminal plate to a load side terminal plate of an earth leakage breaker becomes large.
The earth leakage breaker is provided with a switching mechanism which open and close drives movable contactors that are respectively installed in each pole electric path of the earth leakage breaker with a plurality of poles, an overcurrent tripping mechanism which detects and operates the overload current and short circuit current of each pole electric path, a zero-phase current transformer which detects leakage current of each pole electric path, a leakage tripping mechanism which is driven by the output of the zero-phase current transformer, and a case which houses the switching mechanism, overcurrent tripping mechanism, zero-phase current transformer, and leakage tripping mechanism. A space portion which houses the zero-phase current transformer in the case positioned between phases of the overcurrent tripping mechanism is provided, and the zero-phase current transformer is housed in the space portion parallel to the electric path direction.
