Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earth leakage circuit breaker applied to a wide voltage range, while shortening the earth leakage closing operation time, with no risk of permanent excitation of a trip coil even in power supply reverse connection state.SOLUTION: An earth leakage circuit breaker including a thyristor 107 being turned on by a gate signal outputted from an earth leakage detection circuit 106, a trip device 114 for shutting a switching contact 104 when the thyristor 107 is turned on, and a power supply circuit of the earth leakage detection circuit 106, and the like, where the power supply circuit has a constant voltage circuit 117, a power supply capacitor 118 and a constant current circuit 119, is further provided with a momentary interruption circuit 108 for momentarily interrupting an electrical path connecting a trip coil 112 and the thyristor 107 upon elapsing a certain time after the thyristor 107 is turned on, and an off time setting circuit 121 for turning the gate signal off forcibly immediately after the thyristor 107 is turned on, and maintaining the off state of the thyristor 107 beyond the momentary interruption time by the momentary interruption circuit 108.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
