To provide an earth and sand separation device adaptable to the properties of earth, by providing a bore adjusting mechanism for adjusting an underflow bore.
The underflow nozzle 60 of a cyclone 30 is provided with a bore adjusting mechanism 61 for adjusting an underflow bore, and also is equipped with a bore adjusting motor 62 for driving the mechanism 61, and a motor control panel 63 for operating the motor 62. At first, sludge and drain are charged on a screen to classify and sort the earth particles of relatively coarse grains, and then the earth particles are placed into a cyclone 30 to classify and sort the earth particles of fine particles. At that time, the mechanism 61 is driven to adjust an underflow bore, by operating the motor 62 by the panel 63 in accordance with the properties of earth and sand contained in the sludge and drain. Resultantly the sludge and drain can be sorted and discharged by the underflow bore adpapted to earth quality at that time in accordance with the change of the earth quality properties of the sludge and drain, thereby improving an earth and sand separation efficiency in the cycloton 30.
