Abstract:

PURPOSE: To allow the receiver to cope with frequency fluctuation of a communication satellite main body without expanding a lock range of an AFC over a maximum value of the frequency fluctuation of the communication satellite main body and without provision of an exclusive AFC.
CONSTITUTION: A sweep control section 7 changes largely a sweep voltage Vs so that an oscillation signal Sv sweeps voltages in excess of the maximum value of frequency fluctuation of a communication satellite at the start of operation. The sweeping is stopped when a synchronization detection section 6 detects that a system pilot signal inserted by the communication satellite and an oscillation signal Sv are synchronized and the sweep voltage Vs at sweep stop is stored in a memory section 9. Then the sweep control section 7 changes the sweep voltage Vs slightly around the sweep voltage stored in the memory section 9 at the sweep stop and stops the sweeping when the synchronization detection section 6 detects the synchronization between the desired signal and the oscillation signal Sv.
