PURPOSE: To perform insulation of an earthquake even from a light structure and to form a long period vibration system by a method wherein a plate made of a steel and a rubber material are mutually laminated to an outer periphery in a manner to nip them between upper and lower plate members and the inside is formed only of a rubber material.
CONSTITUTION: A rubber body 2 nipped between plate members 1 is supported by a laminate of a plate member 3 made of a steel arranged to an outer periphery and a rubber. In this case, a vertical axial tension is supported mainly by a rubber body 2 at a central part, shearing rigidity at the part is reduced, and horizontal rigidity is provided by an outer peripheral laminate rubber support body. In this case, a laminate part of the plate 3 made of a steel at an outer periphery and a rubber performs a role to constrain the rubber body 2 at a central part. The rubber body 2 at the central part has no laminate made of a steel, horizontal rigidity is low, and a support body having an intrinsic period being a long period is formed. Namely, the rubber body 2 at a central part has a purpose only to support a vertical load as in water and air and no relation with provision of resilient rigidity.
