Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earthquake-resistant and seismic-control structure which secures the earthquake resistance and seismic controllability of a building and which can be installed in a space-saving manner.SOLUTION: An earthquake-resistant and seismic-control structure 10 for suppressing vibrations of a building includes: a bearing panel 20 which is fixed to a downside beam 4B or a foundation; a support member 30 which is connected to the bearing panel 20 and an upside beam 4A, which bears a horizontal force acting on the building, and which permits shear deformation of the upside beam 4A with respect to the bearing panel 20; and a viscoelastic damper 40 that is provided in parallel with the support member 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
