Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an earthquake resisting method for the existing pipe insertable hole joint section by a non-cut and cover tunneling capable of making earthquake resisting by simple work at a low cost within a short time.
SOLUTION: A cutting machine 11 is installed inside of an insertable hole 3, and the existing place of a pipe wall of the existing pipe 2 in the existing pipe insertable hole joint section 6 is cut out over a predetermined length by making use of a cutter of the cutting machine and is withdrawn. An expansion flexible pipe 14 is placed to a withdrawn part of the pipe wall of the existing pipe 2 to connect the front end of the flexible pipe to the cutting end of the existing pipe 2. The base of the expansion flexible pipe 14 is fitted to an opening section 13 of the circumferential wall 4 of the insertable hole 3 to connect.
