Title:
EARTHQUAKE-RESISTING WALL FRAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3909431
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earthquake-resisting wall frame composed of a multi-story shear wall capable of ensuring same degree of livability as that when the earthquake-resisting wall frame is composed of only multi-story shear wall and ensuring same degree of freedom in design as that when a plurality of dampers are installed between separated multi-story shear walls to provide same energy absorption effect as they have by the dampers.
SOLUTION: This earthquake-resisting wall frame is composed of a plurality of multi-story shear walls 2, 2 arranged in parallel across a distance. Top parts of the multi-story shear walls 2, 2 arranged in parallel are mutually connected while the rotation exceeding a fixed scope of each top part is restrained. The damper 3 is provided between intermediate parts in the direction of height of the multi-story shear walls 2, 2 arranged in parallel to connect it with both of them.
