Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform earthquake strengthening work for a pier while suppressing restrictions on operation of cargo-handling facilities such as a crane.SOLUTION: There is provided an earthquake strengthening structure for pier as a structure for strengthening an existing pier 1 supported by a pier bearing pile 11 so as to have earthquake-resistant strength corresponding to set earthquake intensity. In the entire area below the existing pier 1, flowability is maintained during construction, solidification with time is achieved by field curing so as to develop predetermined strength, and an indeterminate-form temporal solidification material having uniaxial compressive strength satisfying an expression of q=300(α1-α2)h is cast so as to bury the pier bearing pile 11 up to its synodical average ebb level. Here, "q" is an uniaxial compressive strength (kN/m), α1 is a target design seismic intensity (0.20<α1<0.25), α2 is a pre-strengthening design seismic intensity (0.18<α2<0.23), "h" is a design depth of water (m) (4.5
