Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an earthquake warning apparatus for a vehicle which generates an alarm at the time of an earthquake by detecting fluctuations of the vehicle due to the earthquake and fluctuations due to traveling of the vehicle.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of acceleration detectors 4 are disposed at positions of a vehicle, and output signals of the detectors 4 are input to deciding means 2. The means 2 measures a magnitude and its period of the signal of each detectors 4, compares phases of the signals of the detectors 4 disposed at front and rear and right and left sides of the vehicles to output an alarm signal if the magnitudes of the signals are predetermined value or more, the period falls within a predetermined period, phases of the signals of the detectors at front and rear and right and left sides of the vehicle have no difference. When the signal is output from the means 2, an alarm is generated from warning means 3.
