PURPOSE: To obtain film, which has transparency and toughness and can be easily cut by hand and further the adhesive force between water soluble ink and which is excellent, by a method wherein polyester is manufactured mainly from ethylene terephthalate by copolymerizing three or more specified components as acid component at specified ratio.

CONSTITUTION: Easily cuttable polyester film, the tear propagation resistance in one direction of which is 300g/mm or less, is made of polyester, which is produced by copolymerizing acid components or terephthalic acid as major components, 3-12mol% (to terephthalic acid) of metal sulfonate group-containing aromatic dicarboxylic acid and 3-18mol% (to terephthalic acid) of aromatic dicarboxylic acid excluding terephthalic acid and/or aliphatic dicarboxylic acid having the number of carbons of 4-20. And, onto at least one side of the obtained easily cuttable polyester film, the tear propagation resistance in one direction of which is 300g/mm or less, polyester, which is produced by copolymerizing dicarboxylic acid component, 60-90mol% of which is aromatic dicarboxylic acid and 10-40mol% of which is saturated straight-chain aliphatic dicarboxylic acid having the number of methylene groups of 4-8, and glycol component, 30-60mol% of which is diethylene glycol and 40-70mol% of which is alkylene glycol having the number of carbons 2-8, is laminated so as to obtain the desired film.
