Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously change four universal rolls without removing guides.
SOLUTION: Rolling guides introducing a rolling stock S in at least one side of either the inlet side or outlet side of a universal mill are composed of guide main bodies 2a-2d along the longitudinal direction of the rolling stock S and scrapers 3a-3d arranged between the tip end of guide main bodies 2a-2d and rolls of the mill and connected to the tip end of guide main bodies 2a-2d so as to freely rock, and a retracting mechanism for regulating the attitude is provided in scrapers 3a-3d.
