To provide an eaves edge tile which can be efficiently and inexpensively mass-produced as a sintered tile or a slate tile by using a mold, positively prevents rainwater from infiltrating to an area below the eaves edge tile by strong wind, and finishes off the same with good appearance.
The eaves edge tile is a sintered tile or a slate tile which has a front wall 2 protruding downward along a front edge of a main body 1. In the eaves edge tile, the front wall 2 has a predetermined thickness, and has a longitudinally extending longitudinal groove 3 formed in a lower surface thereof, or has stepped undulation 4 formed in a rear surface thereof by repeatedly arranging inclined surfaces 5 and vertical surfaces 6 in the rear surface. Alternatively the main body 1 has rear grooves 7 or rear projections 8 formed in or on a lower surface thereof, at locations away from the front wall 2 along the same. The eaves edge tile is efficiently and inexpensively mass-produced as the sintered tile or the slate tile by using a mold, and effectively prevents rainwater from infiltrating to the area below the eaves edge tile at the time of strong wind.
