To reduce power of drive and driven wheels to 50% lower than that of conventional ones based on a basic principle of wheel running power reduction measures.
The rim of a wheel is divided into two parts coaxially with the center of the wheel. A space is formed between a rim-side inner periphery and a hub-side outer periphery, links 3d are radially arranged in the space, and a wheel part is pin-connected to a hub part 3g via the links. Connection holes with pins 3f formed at both ends of the link are formed into a true circle on the hub side and an ellipse on the wheel side. As a result, when a vehicle body weight is applied on the hub, the hub slightly goes down relative to the center of the vehicle body, and the wheel is resultantly rotated eccentrically with respect to the hub. The vehicle body weight is held so as to be hung on one or two links mounted on the wheel uppermost part. The rotation or traction force of a vehicle body shaft acts on the link of the wheel uppermost part, and the link tilts only at a minute angle Δθ. The minute angle Δθ resultantly adds new overturning moment to the wheel. As a result, the drive and driven power of the vehicle can be reduced.
