Title:
EDDY CURRENT COMPENSATION IN MAGNETIC RESONANT IMAGING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3504301
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To compensate an error owing to eddy current by applying auxiliary pulse before exciting pulse when a human body mounted within magnetic fields of main magnetic coil and multiple gradient coils is irradiated with a modulation signal and reflected waves are received to treat data and form an image.
CONSTITUTION: By driving an electric source 11, a uniform main static magnetic field is produced from a main magnetic coil 2 and auxiliary magnetic fields are generated from gradient coils 3-5. An RF modulation signal 8 is radiated from a radiating means 6 via a duplexer 9 to be cast on a human body 7 mounted within the magnetic fields. The reflected waves from the human body 7 are received and demodulated 10 via the switch 9, and treated by a data treating unit 14 to display an image 15. At that time, an auxiliary pulse is applied at a specified distance before an exciting RF demodulation pulse, to compensate an error owing to eddy current. Thereby, a correct magnetic resonant image can be obtained.
