Abstract:
To provide an eddy current damper capable of adjusting attenuation force easily.SOLUTION: An eddy current damper 1 comprises a magnet holding ring 13, a plurality of permanent magnets 14, and a braking ring 15. The plurality of permanent magnets 14 are fixed to the magnet holding ring 13 and arranged along the circumferential direction of the magnet holding ring 13. The braking ring 15 is arranged coaxially with the magnet holding ring 13 so as to face the plurality of permanent magnets 14 with a gap. The braking ring 15 rotates relative to the magnet holding ring 13 and has conductivity. Of the magnet holding ring 13 and the braking ring 15, the ring arranged on the outer side in the radial direction comprises a plurality of holes 153 that opens on an outer peripheral surface, and an adjusting material 154 that is inserted into each of the holes 153.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
