Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bind permanent magnets in the three directions of the radius, circumference, and axis of a support ring as much as possible and fix the magnets with ease at low cost, taking into account the difference in the coefficients of a thermal expansion between the permanent magnets and the support ring.
SOLUTION: With respect to an eddy current reduction gear, protruded edge portions 2Aa and 2Ab are formed on the edge portions of the support ring 2 by protruding both the edge portions of the support ring 2 in the axial direction, and recessed or projected engaging portions 2A are formed on the inside face wherein both the protruded edge portions 2Aa and 2Ab oppose each other. Protruded or recessed engaging portions 1A which are to be engaged with the recessed or projected engaging portions 2A on the support ring 2 are formed on both the side faces of permanent magnets 1a in the axial direction, with side faces opposite to both the projected edge portions 2Aa and 2Ab on the support ring 2. When the permanent magnet 1 is installed on the support ring 2, the protruded edge portions 2Ab on at least one side is pressed from the direction of the axis of the support ring 2, and further, the engaging portions 2A and 1A on the support ring 2 and the permanent magnet 1 are engaged with each other.
