Title:
EDGE DETECTOR FOR PLATE MAKING MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3267201
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an edge detector capable of accurately detecting the position of the leading edge of a master sheet supplied to a feeding roller.
SOLUTION: The plate making machine is constituted so that the master sheet X is supplied to the peripheral surface of the feeding roller 6 whose speed is controlled and which is driven to be rotated in a subscanning direction, and image information is exposed on the photosensitive surface of the master sheet X by main scanning. In such a case, the detector ES is provided with a light emitting element (es1) which is positioned to face to the peripheral surface of the roller 6 just before a main scanning position and whose light emitting surface is standardized to the photosensitive surface of the master sheet X and a light receiving element (es2) which receives reflected light from the photosensitive surface. The element (es1) is turned on before detecting the passing master sheet X and turned off at a fixed time after output from the element (es2) which detects the leading edge of the master sheet X.
