To easily and effectively improve the appearance of the whole panel by making a boundary part of the top face of a surface edge and that of a panel main body the same face state without regard to the shape of the curved part of a panel main body.
An edge member 1 consists of a fixing base 15 fixed along the edge part of a top plate main body 2 and the surface edge 16 fitted to the external edge of the base 15 by sticking a top wall part 16a to an upward reference face 15d provided for the base 15. Then a distance from the face 15d of the base 15 to the top face 6a of a decorative plate 6 on the top face of the main body 2 is made to correspond to the thickness dimension of the part 16a of the edge 16 to constitute the top face 6e of the part 16a to make the same face with the face 6a of the plate 6 even though the base 15 is deformed by internal stress.
