Abstract:
To provide an edge roll for a ring rolling mill with an exchangeable tip, having a structure that enables easy, safe, quick and inexpensive restoration of an edge roll with an abraded tip without removing the whole roll.
An edge roll comprises an edge roll tip portion having a workpiece rolling portion and a connecting portion, an edge roll body having a connecting portion receiving structure for receiving the connecting portion, and lock means for locking and unlocking the edge roll tip portion and the edge roll body. Locking and unlocking of the edge roll tip portion and the edge roll body are executed by fastening and unfastening a bolt.
