Therefore, a contact condition of an edge line of a work object scissors piece held by the scissors holding tool 20 and the polishing plate 5 can be set in a desired condition. Therefore, an edge can be rightly sharpened only by moving its work object scissors piece in the outer peripheral direction from the rotational center of the polishing plate 5 by pressing it against a polishing plate surface.
