Abstract:
To provide an edging method for a slab by which the efficiency of the edging of the slab is improved by using a flying edging press for continuously performing the edging press of the slab while conveying the slab at constant speed.
In the edging press method by which edging is carried out over the entire length of the slab by repeating edging press for reducing the slab in the width direction with a die while continuously conveying the slab, the average conveying speed of the slab in a period when the die is not in contact with the slab is made larger than the average conveying speed of the slab in a period when the die is in contact with the slab.
