Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an edible coating having a nice taste, improved heat retaining property, keeping quality and moisture absorption, by kneading a mixture of an edible flour with an embryo bud with water, forming the main raw material dough into a film, and heating the film.

CONSTITUTION: An edible flour, e.g. wheat or rice flour, is kneaded with an embryo bud and/or a vegetable fiber, and if necessary an animal flour, e.g. fish or bone meal, and water to give a main raw material dough, which is then rolled by a roll, e.g. a rolling pin, into an edible raw coating in the form of a thin film. The edible coating is then used to coat a rice or processed rice.
