Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enhance taste modifying effects derived from Curculigo.latiolia by reducing bivalent metallic ion concentration present in the oral cavity.
CONSTITUTION: A substance having function to enable reduction in the concentration of bivalent metallic ions (e.g., Ca or Mg ions) present in the oral cavity, e.g., carbonate ions, or cation exchanger (e.g., Amberlite IR-120(R) manufactured by Rohm and Haas Co.) is used as an effect enhancer for a taste modifier consisting of a fruit or dried fruit of Curculigo.latifolia or an ingredient, obtained therefrom and containing curculin.
