Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effector-mounted terminal device which can change effects more than before.
SOLUTION: At a download site 2, musical sound data of a plurality of termination melodies and a plurality of effect programs are stored. When a request is received from a portable terminal device 1 through the Internet, internal musical sound data and an effect program are downloaded. The downloaded musical sound data and program are temporarily stored in a RAM 7 of the portable terminal device 1, the musical sound data are set in a sequencer 22, and the effect program is set in a DSP 16 which functions as an effector. When there is an incoming call, a sound source 15 generates a digital musical sound signal according to the output of the sequencer 22 and outputs it to the DSP 16, which imparts effects according to the downloaded program.
