To provide the subject egg shell sterilizing device capable of treating in a short period of time, and improving a safety, an environmental pollution resistance and a work saving by controlling an ozone generating device and an exhausting fan through a prescribed controlling means.

This egg shell sterilizing device is obtained by installing a tunnel like exhaustive hood 3 equipped with a tunnel-shaped both 2 at the inside thereof on the way of an egg shell conveying conveyer 1 in an egg shell washing selector or a machine resembling therewith, also installing a nozzle header 11 having a plurality of injection nozzles 12 in the tunnel like both 2 so as to spray ozone supplied from a ozone generating device 9 installed at the outside of the device over the egg shells on the egg shell conveying conveyer 1, installing an exhausting fan 4 on the top part o the tunnel like exhausting hood 3 so as to dischargw an exhaust gas to the atmosphere from an exhausting dust 5 through an ozone removing device 6, detecting a residual amount of ozone in the exhaust gas with a gas sensor 7 and controlling the operations of the ozone generating device 9 and the exhausting fan 4 through a controlling means 8 including a computer.
