Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EGR system capable of properly processing condensed water with less influences on a catalyst, while enhancing the EGR efficiency by cooling EGR gas.SOLUTION: The EGR system includes an EGR passage 10 for returning part of exhaust gas flowing in an exhaust passage 3 of a diesel engine 1, as EGR gas, to an intake passage 2. It further includes an EGR cooler 11 provided in the EGR passage 10 for cooling the EGR gas, a condensed water tank 12 provided in the EGR passage 10 for storing condensed water produced by cooling the EGR gas, an EGR valve 13 for opening/closing the EGR passage 10, and a return passage 14 for returning the condensed water stored in the condensed water tank 12 to the exhaust passage 3. The return passage 14 is connected to the exhaust passage 3 at its further downstream side than a post-processing device 7 for the exhaust gas.
