To provide an ejection testing apparatus ejecting an axially-asymmetric projectile as maintaining its posture.
The ejection testing apparatus 1 comprises an acceleration tube 4 for housing at its rear end in the direction of ejection, a cylindrical sabot 3 holding the projectile 2 for accelerating the sabot 3 through the use of acceleration energy, a vacuum chamber 6 for housing the tip of the acceleration tube 4 in the direction of ejection and housing a target 5 with which the projectile 2 accelerated in the acceleration tube 4 is made to collide, and a sabot stopper 7 provided for the inside of the vacuum chamber 6 for receiving an accelerated sabot 3 to separate the projectile 2 and make the projectile 2 collide with the target 5. The sabot 3 comprises both of a sabot main body 17 having an opening part 16 at its tip in the direction of ejection and a buffer 18 housed in the opening part 16 of the sabot main body 17 freely movably in the direction of ejection for holding the projectile 2 at its tip in the direction of ejection. The sabot 17 and the positions P1 and P2 of the tips of the buffer 18 in the direction of ejection are offset from each other.
