To provide an ejector type refrigeration system which can be downsized to improve energy efficiency while being advantageous for environmental conservation.
An operating medium heated by a solar heat collector 3 is supplied from a supply port 2a of an ejector 2. An outlet 4o of a condenser 4 connected to a discharge port 2b of the ejector 2 is connected to an evaporator 5 and to a refrigerant pump 6, and the operating medium is returned to the solar heat collector 3 by the refrigerant pump 6. An outlet 5o of the evaporator 5 is connected to a suction port 2c of the ejector 2. When steam of the operating medium heated by the solar heat collector 3 is supplied from a supply port 2c, the operating medium in the evaporator 5 is sucked from the suction port 2c and evaporated by an ejector effect during passing through a throat part of the ejector 2. The vaporization heat cools the operating medium, and water supplied to the evaporator 5 is cooled and supplied to the air conditioner, etc., to carry out cooling.
