Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a copolymer of ethylene, an α-olefin other than propylene and an arbitrarily small amt. of polyene considerably improved in the distribution uniformity of an α-olefin monomer unit.
CONSTITUTION: A copolymer contains about 35-85 mol.% of an ethylene derived unit and about 10-60 mol.% of an α-olefin derived unit and is characterized by that a mol.% amt. (%α) of an α-olefin in the copolymer and a ratio (αα/α) of a mol amt. of α-olefin to a mol amt. of α-olefin in the copolymer satisfy the relation (%α)-250 (αα/α)≥10 (A) and is a substantially amorphous copolymer of ethylene (B) wherein 2% or less of a CH2 group in a polymer chain has characteristics of a sequence (CH2)n ((n): even number) and at least one α-olefin represented by formula (I): CH2=CHR (wherein R is a 2-10C alkyl group).
