To provide an elastic member having such a uniform conductivity as to allow good electrolysis of a conductive recording liquid, an intermediate transcript having the elastic member on the surface and an ink-jet image formation apparatus having the intermediate transcript.
A conductive elastic member 51 is used on the surface of an intermediate transcript which is to be applied with a voltage for electrolyzing a conductive recording liquid discharged from a head and bridging between the head and the intermediate transcript and includes a front layer 52 impacted with the conductive recording liquid discharged from the head and a lower layer 53 supporting the front layer 52. The front layer 52 has a resistivity of 50 Ωcm or lower, measured at intervals of 2 mm or shorter by using a resistance measuring member 54 whose part to be brought into contact with the front layer 52 has a diameter of 40 μm or smaller, and the lower layer 53 has a resistivity higher than 50 Ωcm and equal to or lower than 1,000 Ωcm.
