Title:
ELASTIC NONWOVEN FABRIC OF FILAMENT AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3161588
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain nonwoven fabric improved in fiber uniformity and excellent in stretchability.
SOLUTION: This nonwoven fabric comprises accumulated crimped filaments. The crimped filaments are obtained by crimping and developing latently crimpable filaments. The latently crimpable filaments are composed of a fiber- forming polymer A and a fiber-forming polymer B having a heat shrinkage percentage higher than that of the polymer A in a combined state in which the polymer B is exposed to at least a part of the surface. Zones in which the crimped filaments are mutually fused by the softening or melting of the having B are laid in a scattered state in the nonwoven fabric. The nonwoven fabric simultaneously satisfies conditions of (i) the elongation at break of the nonwoven fabric in the width direction is ≥150%, (ii) the ratio of the elongation at break of the nonwoven fabric in the longitudinal direction to that in the width direction is ≥5, (iii) the elongation recovery ratio when the nonwoven fabric is elongated at 50% in the width direction is 160% and (iv) the elongation recovery ratio of the nonwoven fabric in the width direction when elongated at 100% is >50%.
