To provide an elastic pavement material which maintains sufficient strength from a practical standpoint, and is excellent in water permeability, elasticity, and sliding frictional force.

The elastic pavement material is produced by mixing a fibrous and/or particulate rubber chip material, a binder resin, and crushed chaff, such that the content of the binder resin is set to 15 to 40 pts.wt. with respect to 100 pts.wt. of the rubber chip material, and that a ratio M/B (weight ratio) of the content M of the crushed chaff to the content B of the binder resin is set to 0.04 to 0.15. Then, the binder resin is hardened, and the entire surface of the pavement is subjected to grinding treatment as needed.
