Abstract:

To provide an elastic propylene-ethylene copolymer having a specific stereoregularity that can be used for various molded articles having very good flexibility, little stickiness, excellent heat resistance and transparency, and excellent elastic-recovering properties, as well as excellent low-temperature properties.

This propylene-ethylene copolymer comprises 0.01-15 mol% of an ethylene unit and 99.99-85 mol% of a propylene unit, based on the mole number of the olefin units constituting the copolymer, wherein the following properties, (A), (B), (C) and (D) are satisfied: (A) 0.0070×C2-0.0020>PEP; (B) 0.01+EPE/(EPE+PPE+PPP)<1; (C) the ratio of the mole number of a propylene unit derived from 2,1-insertion reaction of propylene monomer and the ratio of the mole number of a propylene unit derived from 1,3-insertion reaction of propylene monomer are <0.2%, respectively; and (D) Tm>-4.4×C2+165.
