Abstract:
To provide a technique for effectively preventing possible troubles including sheet breaking when stretching a sheet having a sheet splicing part.SOLUTION: In a sheet splicing step where a following sheet 9B joined is supplied to a stretching step continuously with a preceding sheet 9A, an overlapping part 90 of both sheets 9A and 9B are held between pressurization members 51 and 52 to be pressed in a thickness direction and are heated in a transfer-crossing direction by heating means 56. By this, both sheets 9A and 9B in the overlapping part 90 are fused and joined to each other. The heating means 56 has a first heating part 57 arranged intermittently in the transfer-crossing direction and a second heating part 58 that generates heat at a lower temperature than that by the first heating part 57 and that is positioned between the adjacent first heating parts 57 in the transfer-crossing direction. The length of a transfer direction of the first heating part 57 is longer than the length of a transfer direction of a repeating unit of a high basis weight part 14 and a low basis weight part 15 existing in the sheets 9A and 9B after the stretching step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
