This elastic support body comprising a plurality of stacked flexible sheets is so formed that, when the support body is extended in such a state as separating between the sheets, the sheets themselves are mutually bent or curved so as to be formed into an approximately honeycomb structure as the whole sheets, and the surfaces are partially joined between the sheets so that, when the support body is contracted, the plurality of sheets are closely stuck mutually into a stacked approximately flat structure.
