Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stretchable fabric in which a width can be prevented from being shrunk when it is elongated, and the width can be further expanded than that before elongation to increase a contact area and a covering area, and which can be used for an anti-loosening purpose or an ornament, and which can be also applied to a woven or knitted fabric without any problem.SOLUTION: The stretchable fabric is composed of a belt-like fabric 1 that can shrink and expand in a lengthwise direction or a cylindrical fabric 2 that can shrink and expand in a circumferential direction. The belt-like fabric 1 or the cylindrical fabric 2 is formed so that a cross section in the lengthwise direction or the circumferential direction forms a wave shape having bent parts 11,21 or fold-up parts 13 provided at a predetermined pitch or provided continuously, and so that each of the bent parts 11,21 or the fold-up parts 13 forming the wave shape forms a slant line shape, a V-shape, a zigzag shapes, or a shape in which these shapes are combined in a plain view.
