Abstract:
Tire tread (1) comprises block(s) (3) for measuring adhesion between tire and ground. Block consists of central zone (10) and surrounding zone (20), and has detector for effort(s) applied to external radial summit of tread. The different tread blocks are separated from one another by grooves (6), and the surrounding zone (20) is separated from the central zone (10) by stipes that are narrower than the grooves but sufficient to separate the different materials. The central zone is made from a cellular rubber compound and has a lower potential adhesion than the surrounding zone. The detector comprises a rigid rod with a head and deformation and stress measuring elements, and a membrane deformable element.
