Abstract:

PURPOSE: To secure the maneuvering stability and vibration damping performance and reduce weight.
CONSTITUTION: A shock absorbing tube 3 is provided at the tip section of a shaft 2a via a connecting bracket 25, and the cylinder section 14 of the first yoke 4 is inwardly fixed to the shock absorbing tube 3. Protruded pieces 10a, 10a fixed at the tip section of the shaft 2a are loosely coupled with notches 17, 17 provided on the cylinder section 14, and coupling sections are located on the inside of the diameter direction of the shock absorbing tube 14. Small torque is transmitted via the connecting bracket 25 and the shock absorbing tube 3, and large torque is transmitted via the coupling of the protruded pieces 10a, 10a and the notches 17, 17. Since the diameter of the shock absorbing tube 3 can be made large, the maneuvering stability and vibration damping performance can be secured. The connecting bracket 25 transmitting only small torque can be thinned to reduce weight, and it can be miniaturized and made lightweight via the shortening of the axial size.
